1092 was the first year of the new Group C era. Derek Ball waits for team mate Joacj Ickz during the championship deciding to race at a rain soaked Brands Hatch. Derek took the final stint and although finishing behind Patrese's Lancia LC1, this was enough for Ickz to win the Driver's World Championship.
